I'm currently obsessed with Melody Godfred's blog and all her wit and wisdom about writing. She posted about a site devoted to books, and I seriously can't stop looking at it. Now don't be alarmed, good Christian lasses, but the title of it is Bookshelf Porn. It's exactly what it sounds like: page after page of pictures of gorgeous books for you to ogle. If you are not a bibliophile, this will be meaningless to you. But if you are, I need not explain it further. Go forth and enjoy.

To be clear, I only suggested an Ereader to cut down on clutter. I will never own one. LOL! I understand the love of a real book. I love the smell of a library book and seeing the pages and feeling them as you read. I like to see my progress through a book as well.
Yet another reason we are friends. ;)
Mmmmmmmm boooooooks. Those photos make me drool!
Books are truly a delight, and thankfully calorie free :) I tried out my niece's kindle over Christmas, and absolutely hated it. There's just something comforting about holding a volume, the physical sensation of turning a page...
I think the only thing that might appeal to me about having one would be to have my bible with me in a format where I could find a verse I wanted really quickly. I'm terrible at remembering where I read a verse.
I think an ereader sounds okay for magazine reading...other than that, give me a pile of books to look at, smell and read and I'm happy :) Plus the library is free...an ereader, not so much!
I feel the same way. I love real books. I could never make the switch. I do however have an ipod touch and I love having my bible at the touch of a finger. it's really a great tool... but I'll stick to books. :)
